It all started with a few records…

…and a love for art.

Hi! We are a wife and husband of FIFTEEN years, with a deep love of music and art. Mike (that’s me) has been an audio engineer for 20 years in the United States. Carla (that’s me!) attended art school in Milan and has been an event producer, stylist and floral designer for 18 years in both the U.S and France.

Mike started collecting vinyl in 2003 in Brooklyn, but the collection became a serious one after we moved to San Francisco in 2007. Ever since then Our collection has kept growing!

Carla began her career in event design in New York City in 2003. Things took off in 2007 in San Francisco where she worked on many high profile events, after which she opened her own company. when we left San Francisco in 2010 Carla decided to sponsor AND produce art openings for local artists that she could see had talent and were going places. Mike would bring SELECTIONS FROM the Vinyl collection and SPIN at thE openingS. thus began our “vinyl meets art” adventure. years passed and we kept on collecting vinyl, TEACHING oUR children about different genres of music, how to carefully handle the records, place them on the turntables, look at the WONDERFUL COVER art, etc.

THIS BRINGS US TO 2019 WHEN WE DECIDED TO MOVE TO PARIS TO EXPERIENCE, AND SHOW OUR CHILDREN, THE BEAUTY, CULTURE AND MAGIC OF THE CITY OF LIGHTS. IT WAS A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE WE WILL NEVER FORGET but IN EARLY 2020 WHEN THE COUNTRY, like the rest of the world, was hit with covid-19, WE WERE CONFINED IN A VERY SMALL APARTMENT. OUR JOBS AT STAKE OR VANISHED, THE ONLY THINGS THAT KEPT US SANE Were COOKING, LISTENING TO RECORDS AND taking PAINTING classes AS A FAMILY.

WE REALIZED THEN WHAT WE HAD TO DO… so again we packed our bags, this time for the beautiful burgundian countryside southeast of Paris to have more space and nature, yet still BE close to the city. We decided to put our money where our true passions WERE.

WE OPENED A RECORD SHOP & ART GALLERY IN TOUCY, FRANCE IN MAY OF 2021. IT WAS QUITE A LEARNING EXPERIENCE. NOW WE’RE BACK IN THE STATES AND OFFERING DJ SERVICES AND A VINYL BAR FOR EVENTS!
